11th - 13th September - A weekend packed with fun and fundraising
August 2009
After the success of last year’s inaugural Pedal4Charity sponsored bike ride in aid of the Woking and Sam Beare Hospices, we are aiming for even bigger and better things this year!
We are hoping for up to 300 riders and the post–ride events will be even more spectacular.
The weekend’s activities will kick off on Friday 11th September with a fundraising Barn Dance in a huge marquee on the green outside The Cricketers. Tickets will be £25 each including a scrumptious supper and wine and all the barn–dancing your feet can handle! All in a good cause, raising money for the Woking & Sam Beare Hospices.
Sunday 13th September will bring the Sponsored Bike Ride and Village Festival. Register now and start collecting sponsors for the 18 mile round trip starting and finishing at The Cricketers and going via one of our sister pubs, The Rose & Crown in Thorpe. Go to www.pedal4charity.co.uk for full details.
For those not participating in the ride The Village Festival outside The Cricks will provide plenty of distraction and fun for all the family. We’ll have live bands including a Brass Band, cake stalls, face painting, Punch & Judy, a BBQ, a Tug–of–War, Morris Dancing, Tombola, Grand Raffle, side shows for the kiddies and much, much more!
We’ve set ourselves a huge target – we want to double the sum we made for the Hospices last year – we want to get to £30K and we can only do it with your help.
If you can help out on the day, be part of the team or offer your services for marshalling, car parking assistance or whatever, please call us on 01483 762 378 or email ron@neale.com
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the weekend, so tell your friends, tell your families and get pedalling!
