We are looking forwarding to seeing you and are working hard to make your visit an enjoyable, comfortable and safe experience. In line with the new Government guidelines and social distancing measures we have made a few changes so that we can all practice safe socialising. . .
How do I book a table?
Our online booking system is open, for tables of 8 or less, in line with social distancing. When making a booking please remember that indoor gatherings should only be in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles).
Our outdoor tables cannot be reserved and outdoor gatherings of 6 people or less can be from any number of households but if you are a party of 7 people or more then all should be from no more than two households (or support bubbles).
What happens when I arrive?
Car parks will be open but after parking please follow our signs to the entrance where you will be met by our welcome host who will explain everything. On arrival, we will ask you to use the sanitiser while we check your booking and at busy times it may be that you have to queue while we allocate tables. There will be screens and sanitiser throughout the pub for the safety of all.
How do I order food?
Our menus are single use and we will maintain social distancing when taking your order and bringing food to your table. We have made a few little changes to our table service & will now serve your meals with your cutlery & napkins to limit handling. Salt and pepper will be cleaned between sittings.
To assist with social distancing in our kitchen we have a new selected menu that includes all your pub favourites, vegan choices and a few new dishes that we hope you will enjoy.

Can I order at the Bar?
There will be no indoor bar service available so your drink order will be taken at your table. Our Outdoor Bar will be open and at busy times we ask that you queue with social distancing in mind please.
Can I just come for a drink?
Yes, you are very welcome to come for a drink, however, you must be seated at a table. On arrival please make your way to our welcome host who will be able to allocate you a free table.
Do I have to pay by Card?
Yes please! We are not accepting any cash transactions but you can use contactless/card payments. There is a gratuity option if you would like to leave a tip for our lovely staff.
Can I pay with a Barons Gift Voucher?
Yes of course, although no change is given. In lieu of the lockdown we will extend the expiry date on your voucher by 6 months.
Will the Play Area be open?
Yes our play area is open. For safety there will be a maximum number of children allowed at any one time and we ask that you supervise your children at all times please.
Can I bring my dog?
In line with our dog policy, dogs are welcome outside in the garden.
I’ve heard on the news that my contact details will be taken. Is this correct?
Yes, in line with new guidelines your contact details will be collected, held in a secure place for 21 days and then destroyed. If required these will be shared with NHS Track & Trace. If you or any of your party feel unwell please rearrange your booking for another time.
Other important things that I should know?
- We have carefully considered social distancing in the layout of the bar and restaurant so ask that you do not move the tables and chairs. This also includes the garden furniture.
- Toilets will be open with social distancing measures in place.
- All our staff will be temperature tested and working in a Covid-19 Secure environment.
- On top of our 5*hygiene rating we have additional cleaning and sanitising regimes in place for the safety of all.
